MakeShift: Nerf Night II

MakeShift is a monthly series of maker nights, including demos, hacks, and DIY projects - for adults only. That being said, sometimes we throw special events such as a Nerf battle throughout the museum. This past Wednesday, July 8th, 2015, we held our second monthly, adult-only Nerf Night! This was a pop-up event and was planned due to the overwhelming success of last months MakeShift: Home Brew Hacks, where we taught people how to home brew kombucha, beer, ale, and even a hard cider. During this event, we had Capture the Flag, Nerf Zombies, Nerf Alamo, and a slew of other
game types.

Remember when looking through the following photos that this took place in a kids museum by day, adult battleground by night. Hope to see you all next time!

Pete, the man to the left, also the mastermind behind 3d printing air hockey paddles and pucks for the adults to use on the exhibits air tables. Great job Pete! Folks loved it!

For more awesome projects that have come from the mind of Pete, visit him at his website: http://rasterweb.net/raster/.

(Above:) Fear the mighty "Foam-A-Hawk." Bill was busy sniping people all night with his custom blow gun. It was a simple hack that was actually made on accident, but trust me when I say that it was a force to reckon with!

All in all, it was an awesome time and I cannot wait to invite everyone back for the next event! Stay tuned for upcoming MakeShift events!
