On October 24, 2015, the Betty Brinn Children's Museum held the annual "Not So Scary Halloween" and "Little Monster Bash" which invited families to come to the museum for trick or treating as well as doing some awesome crafts in the Be A Maker Space.
The Be a Maker space organized two family fun events including paper masks as well as spooky movie sound effects!
Children were invited to scribe into foam insulation to create different patterns and textures in order to decorate their paper masks.
...and of course there was plenty of candy!
Bill was busy demonstrating the die cutter to print more masks for kids to decorate.
And even some kids were so lucky to try the die cutter for themselves.
There were so many options that this little guy needed to take a minute to think of what to do next, markers or stamps, so many options!
We had an owl, fox, or cat mask to decorate, and every single one out the door was different and unique.
We 'whipped' and 'nae nae(ed)' till we just couldn't dance anymore.
Special thank you goes out to Joe Pariso and Joe Dorn for being the nights MC's all the families had a great time on the dance floor.
As the night progressed, we had a few children that were interested in making Foley sound effects to 'not so scary' halloween movies.
Tonight was a very successful night!
Every child went home with a bag full of candy, some free samples from our corporate sponsors, and an awesome 'Not so Scary' mask.
Until next time, stay tuned!
