Since I will be working on more engine rebuilds in the future, I decided to pick up a gallon of Simple Green and a 2 gallon bucket to bring down to my apartment. This simple trick was shown to me by one of my friends and I was blown away at the before and after. Simple Green is a eco-friendly degreaser that does a phenomenal job cutting through engine oil, sludge, grime, you name it! I have used it in the past only in printmaking courses which we used to break down any residual oil based inks that were left on the glass slabs.
For this mixture I decided to use the whole bottle and mix it 1:1 for the most heavy duty cleaning. I will post pictures in the future to show the before and after of some parts I will be working on.
